I was asked by Cake Central Magazine to create a cake for their fashion issue based on this gorgeous Chanel couture gown. My cake is featured on a double page spread in the magazine. I wanted the design of this cake to reflect the romantic feel of the inspiration dress, incorporating the delicate branches and beautiful flowers as well as representing the fabric and frills of the dress. Pink and White Dessert Table
Featuring pink, white and cream desserts and sweets including; sugar cookies with ombre pink hydrangea flowers and vanilla bean cake pops dipped in white chocolate. Vanilla bean cupcakes with cream roses, pink hydrangea and pink blossoms. Chocolate cream wafers, pink bon bons and white marshmallows.
Glacier gray has been chosen as one of Pantone's colours of spring 2015. PANTONE describes Glacier Gray as "an unobtrusive gray that contrasts and enhances; bouncing off other shades without taking away from them as it slips into the background to allow other colors to take center stage". This makes it the perfect choice for weddings. It can be used as a neutral in its own right or paired with more vibrant colours such as yellow, coral and purple.
A ruffle wedding cake topped with sugar succulents and white sugar roses, made for my brothers wedding at Artisan restaurant, along with individually boxed caramel cupcake wedding favours for each guest.
