As a regular contributor to Cake Craft Guides- Wedding Cakes & Sugar Flowers Magazine and Party Cakes Magazine, I was very excited to hear the theme for issue 24! The issue is all about fashion inspired cakes! I was given the task of designing a cake inspired by a Zuhair Murad gown. After looking through some wedding gowns, I quickly found a gown that I loved! Zuhair Murad's 'Tiana' gown with its sequins and floral embellishments became my design inspiration.

Here is the completed design, beautifully photographed by Melissa Beattie photography. The design features sequins, chocolate jewels and embellished flowers.

The 5-tier wedding cake featured two ruffled tiers with a split cascade of white peonies, pink roses and green hydrangea sugar flowers, along with white chocolate rose cake pops and cupcakes topped with pink roses and green hydrangea sugar flowers.
